Light up your creativity and indulge your senses in this unique, hands-on workshop that blends artistry with flavor! Begin with Island Candle Making crafting coastal or fall-themed Candles, then enjoy the Individual Charcuterie Board Building Experience led by Coastal Boards & Bites.
Charcuterie Board Building Portion:
Create your own beautifully styled wooden charcuterie board while sipping, snacking, and learning insider presentation techniques straight from a culinary-trained host.
Each participant will receive:
A wooden charcuterie board to build and take home
Guidance on cheese, meat, fruit, and cracker selection
Step-by-step instruction on layout, balance, and styling
Tips for designing a board that’s both visually stunning and delicious
You’ll build your personal board to enjoy during the event—or wrap up and take home to savor later!
Includes:
All ingredients, personal wooden charcuterie board, and guided instruction.

Candle Making Portion:
Embrace the cozy season with us at Island Candles! Join our hands-on Candle Making Class to create your own custom non-tooxic soy candles inspired by the designs & scents of autumn. Pairing perfectly with the Island Candle Making Workshop, this Coastal Candles & Charcuterie event is all about creativity, connection, and coastal charm—making it an unforgettable evening of indulgence and inspiration.

During this guided workshop, you’ll learn the basics of candle making, from blending fragrances to pouring and decorating your candles with beeswax decrotive toppers and colored mica flakes. Each guest gets take home your custom created hand-poured candle—perfect for setting the fall mood or gifting to someone special.

We’ll provide all materials, light refreshments, and a fun, creative atmosphere to welcome the season together.

Island Candles is located at 1230 Folly Rd on James Island. You can park in the back parking lot and our entrance is the back door or side door (we share the location with another business, Arcanna).

Info: An instructor will walk through all the essentials of making your perfect candle.

Info: Time allotted for your candle to dry, for you to eat, drink & socialize (or shop). The instructor will be watching your candles during this time. We will let you know when the candles are dry, go over candle care tips (shown on your candle care card given) and show you how to finalize your candle & add and beeswax toppers of your choice. Then you are ready to take your candle home! Please allow 24-48 hours of dry time for your candle to cure before lighting it for the first time.

Info: We will help you finish your custom-made candles so they look professionally purchased! You are then ready to take your candle home with you - but make sure to wait at least 24-48 hours before your first burn.
