This training is invaluable for anyone interested in improving their conflict resolution and communication skills, including managers, educators, real estate agents, attorneys, social workers, and customer service professionals.
In this 40-hour, highly participatory training you will:
* Strengthen your interpersonal communication skills to listen deeply, ask effective questions, and help others feel heard and respected.
* Learn and practice CDR’s 8-stage mediation model to confidently guide people through difficult conversations from start to finish.
* Recognize your own biases and understand others’ positions, interests, and values so you can stay impartial and support balanced, inclusive solutions.
* Explore mediator ethics to navigate complex situations with clarity, integrity and professionalism.
* Build cultural awareness so you can create space for people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives at the mediation table.
* Gain an understanding of conflict styles and strategies so you can recognize when people use them and why.
When: September 24, 25, 26, October 9, 10
Where: In-person at 717 Tacoma Ave. S, Tacoma, WA 98402
Time: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST
