About this Event
Always wanted to have a Hawk on your wrist and see it fly?
This half day session gives you the opportunity to fly a range of birds of prey, including hawks, owls and falcons
In a small group (limited to 6) you'll be taken through safe and ethical handling of birds and moves on to flying sessions and a final Hawk Hike walk following and flying the birds around the environment.
Dan Mercer , runs Mercer Falconry ltd. and started working with birds as his first job, after finishing school. He has worked at many falconry centres. Dan now has his own team of birds and is proudly involved with projects such as the British Falconry and Raptor Fair, and a Future with Falconry. Dan believes falconry plays a large role in the conservation of raptors and therefore thinks it is very important to educate the public to create a long lasting positive future within falconry
