People's Bookshop is delighted to host Faithful Johannes in concert to celebrate/launch his latest album, Durham, Come Save Me, 10 songs that view Durham history from new or under-represented perspectives, particularly those of women and the working-class.
Described by Electronic Sounds as 'the Alan Bennett of Hip Hop', Faithful Johannes is acclaimed by Tom Robinson (BBC 6MUSIC) as 'a rivetingly charismatic live performer’, and sings songs described by Deb Grant (BBC 6 Music/Jazz FM) as ‘clever and authentic and really affecting.'
It will be a great show!
Tickets are £10 (supporters level), £5 (standard), and a £1 (concession/unwaged). As always, drinks and snacks are included in the cost of the ticket. The doors open at 6:30pm, the event starts at 7, and finishes at 9pm.
