Faith Promise Sunday is the kickoff each year for our missions planning commitments, which is an opportunity for our members (or anyone!) to prayerfully consider how God can use your financial gifts for His work.
Our featured speaker for this year is Troy Nelson, CEO / Donor Advisor for ARM Prision Outreach based in Joplin, Missouri. ARM is one of the organizations currently supported by the Capella congregation's mission offerings.
We will share information on all missions being supported and how this work truly shines the light of Jesus in so many ways - and we can all participate.
The Missions Committee thoughtfully plans the annual missions budget (and the organizations to support) based completely on congregation support (and a lot of prayers 😊), and Faith Promise Sunday is our way of supporting missions together as a church family.
So - what is a faith promise? It's a monthly financial commitment that you trust God will provide that is specifically for missions work. The commitment is between you and God.
Please be in prayer for our missions work and how God may be able to use you and your talents for His purpose.
We will have a potluck lunch in the fellowship hall following the service! Please plan to join us and bring your favorite dish (or two) to share!
