Visit the beautiful campus of CSU!
Join us as we talk about how Faith is an integral part of Mental Health. Enjoy lectures from Dr. Harold Koenig of Duke University and Dr. Steve West, author of The Bronze Scar. Have lunch with Rev Rob Dewey. Hear the testimony of Phillip and Terry Lee from Cedar Creek Church- Aiken, and the Overflow Foundation. And the Dewey Center's own Dr. Ron Harvell, author of 50 Steps with Jesus, will join us. Music provided by Summit Church of North Charleston.

We will be following local Covid guidelines.

  • Thursday (1pm-4:30pm) - SafeTALK slots available at $40.00 each. Developing suicide awareness and intervention skills in a compact 3 1/2 hour course. Registration includes lectures, certificate for .35 CEUs from CEUnits.com, and materials.
  • Friday (9am - 4pm) - Mental Health First Aid slots available at $50.00 each. Only 60 slots available for this valuable course! Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In this 6 hour course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. Registration includes lectures, certificate, materials, and lunch.
  • Saturday (9am - 4pm) - Faith and Mental Health Conference is $75.00 per ticket. Registration includes lectures from Dr. Steve West and Dr. Harold Koenig, your choice of 2 breakout sessions with topics including The Aftermath of Suicide, Addiction, PTSD, Children and Adolescent Mental Health, Boundaries, Suicide Prevention, and Moral Injury. Appearances by Phillip and Terry Lee of the Overflow Foundation and Cedar Creek Church along with Dr. Ron Harvell, Director of the Dewey Center, "Lunch with Rob" (Rev Rob Dewey), and a copy of The Bronze Scar. Music by Summit Church of North Charleston

Wingate Hotel on campus has blocked 70 rooms at $99.00 a night for this conference. Deadline for this price is April 12, 2022. This runs from arrival May 12, 2022 to departure May 15, 2022.
