Step into a world of musical magic!
This one-act concert is the perfect way to experience opera as a dazzling, heartwarming story - exciting for children, inspiring for adults, and unforgettable for everyone.
Let the brilliant voices of our soloists transport you into a land of imagination, where the Queen of the Night reigns in sparkling coloratura, the Doll Olympia comes to life, the brave Prince Tamino embarks on his journey, and even the Northern Reindeer and Sadko’s Bride find their song.
Performers:
ANASTASIA POGORELOVA - coloratura soprano, graduate of the Gnessin Academy of Music (Moscow), soloist of opera festivals and projects across Canada and Europe.
KCENIA KOUTORJEVSKI - mezzo-soprano from British Columbia, international competition laureate, Holds a Master’s degree in Opera from the University of Toronto.
DMYTRO GARBOVSKYI - dramatic baritone, soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre and other major opera stages worldwide, founder of the children’s charity Pure Heart Global Mission.
JOE ADAMS - tenor from Alberta, received his Master’s in Vocal Performance from the University of Western Ontario, performs actively across Canada and abroad.
NAILYA YUZAYEVA - pianist, graduate of the Kazan Conservatory, international competition laureate.
Special highlights:
• Enchanting organ music performed by Imre Olah, Hungarian organist and conductor, Artistic Director of Organ Vespers in Toronto;
• A special performance by young acrobats from Ultimate Performers Academy, featuring Violetta (Ultra Violet) - Canada’s Got Talent semi-finalist, who began her stage journey at age three under the guidance of Cirque du Soleil artists;
• Charismatic host Ilya Mordashov, bringing joy, humour, and sparkle to the stage!
