Fair Isle Basket Weaving with Lisa Atkin at TOAST London, Mayfair

Join artist and basket weaver Lisa Atkin at our Mayfair shop to learn one of the oldest traditional crafts of Fair Isle basket weaving, which is now on the critically endangered crafts list.

Using hemp rope, Lisa will teach the Fair Isle strawback chair knotting technique used to make her stools and baskets. You will create a small basket around a pre-cut wooden base, keeping this ancient craft alive.

Sat 11 February, 10am - 12.30pm. Tickets cost £50 and include all materials and refreshments.
