Faculty Artist Kevin Brown presents a series of his own modern jazz Advent and Christmas arrangements in a quintet featuring Wheaton alumnus Matt Peterson on keyboard, fellow Wheaton faculty member Lucas Gillan on drums, saxophonist Andy Schlinder, and bassist James Ross. Kevin offers a host of familiar tunes to celebrate the season, from the plainsong hymn, Of the Father's Love Begotten, to Carol of the Bells, The Little Drummer Boy, and Hark the Herald Angels Sing.
The performance will be accompanied by live documentary painting from local artist Lewis Achenbach.
This concert is part of the Faculty Artists Series at Wheaton College and will take place in the Recital Hall of the Armerding Center for Music and the Arts, located at 520 E. Kenilworth Ave. \
