FactualWEST 2026

FactualWEST is a one-of-a-kind conference for producers and crew working in factual, lifestyle, reality and documentary television.

In an increasingly global content economy, Canadian factual and unscripted creators are proving that local perspectives can drive international success. “MADE IN CANADA — SEEN EVERYWHERE” is a forward-looking theme that celebrates the strength, originality, and export potential of Canadian IP across documentary, lifestyle, reality, true crime, formats, and premium factual entertainment.

This year’s FactualWEST conference brings together producers, broadcasters, streamers, distributors, financiers, creators, and industry leaders to explore how Canadian ideas are competing — and succeeding — on the world stage.

While still celebrating our ability to serve international productions, and learning from beyond our borders, we will look at shows created across Canada with a focus on Vancouver, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the Yukon.

It’s time for us to invest in ourselves first! As audiences demand more real stories and platforms seek distinctive voices, Canadian creators are no longer simply participating in the global market — they are shaping it. MADE IN CANADA — SEEN EVERYWHERE is where the next generation of exportable Canadian IP, strategic partnerships, and international opportunities begins.

Schedule subject to change with full programming details to be released in mid October.
Registration includes:
Friday, November 13
2:30 PM to 6:00 PM

Join us for the kickoff to this year's conference with our opening keynote, a state of the union conversation and our Pitch Thunderdome has evolved into a REAL pitch competition. The shows, the producers, and the offers will all be real. Three projects will be chosen to square off in the hopes of getting their show to the next stage or possibly a green light!
Saturday, November 14
9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Continue your growth with a full-day of networking and a deep dive into the world of multi-cam directing and editing, alongside insightful panels and sessions to level up your experience in successful content development, pitching, and financing.

Past attendees have loved this conference and we think you will too!
