This Kinusaiga class teaches a traditional Japanese "no-sew" textile art form where you "paint" pictures using fabric scraps. Often described as "quiltless quilting" or fabric mosaic, this technique creates textured, 3D-effect artwork by tucking fabric edges into grooves cut into a backing material. All supplies will be provided. You’ll be guided through the process which includes sketching or transferring a design then breaking it down into simple shapes, using a craft knife to make shallow grooves, then pressing fabric edges into the cut slits.
Join us to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art to take home! No experience necessary. Cost is $40/person for this 4-hour workshop and all supplies will be provided.
In order to host this class, we need at least 2 people to register in advance. If we don’t meet this minimum by two days before the class is scheduled, the class will be cancelled and refunds will be issued.
Space is limited, so get your ticket on our website now!
