Fab Lab Week 8 is a beginner-friendly, in-person garment-cloning workshop for anyone curious about making and mending clothes.
🚀 Attack of the Clones: If You Love It, Clone It!
Got a favorite garment you wish you could make again? Bring it to Fab Lab, a welcoming, BIPOC-led maker and fashion community built around Make. Mend. Manifest. Get into fashion detective mode and learn to use your original piece as a pattern—no prior fashion design experience needed.
What we’ll explore
We’ll practice tracing garment shapes, identifying pattern pieces, cutting fabric, and sewing a replica. Come curious, experiment, and learn by doing in a creative community—not a formal fashion class. You’ll build practical sewing skills and explore how to recreate clothes you already love; the workshop doesn’t promise a finished garment in two hours.
