Safety Risk Management (SRM) is a three-step process composed of Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Mitigation. This seminar will present SRM and this three-step process in great detail from a General Aviation (GA) pilot's perspective.
Case studies will be used to enhance the audience understanding of the SRM process. Exercises using the FAASTeam Risk Assessment Tool (FRAT) will be included. Similar risk assessment tools will also be presented and demonstrated as part of the discussion.
Ultimately, real life mitigation strategies will be discussed and GA examples will be provided.
Pilots planning to fly-in must call (939) 484-8053 Ext. 702 a minimum of 24 hours in advance to arrange arrival.
