What does this course entail? This one-day course is designed to give people the skills, understanding and confidence to ensure the wellbeing of others, including the prevention of abuse and neglect. Safeguarding means protecting another person’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. It is also concerned with making sure that those at risk do not get harmed, knowing what to do if anyone at work is worried about someone else, and ensuring that any allegations of abuse or suspicion are dealt with appropriately.
The level 3 qualification is regulated and accredited by the First Aid Awards (FAA) and learners will receive a certificate upon completion and assessment of the coursework.
Who would benefit from this course?Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and having an understanding of the issues and processes is essential for anyone, regardless of role or status as paid employee or volunteer. No formal qualifications are necessary but a reasonable standard of English will be expected.
This qualification is designed for learners who have contact with children, young people or adults in their working environment including voluntary work.
