About this Event

Step into "The Oil Painting Parlour" and the timeless practice of oil painting. This atelier-inspired course offers a relaxed introduction to the foundations of painting, including brushwork, materials, values, and the art of mixing lifelike skin tones using the historic Zorn palette. Each week features a new theme drawn from curated references. Learn to paint expressive portraits, capture both light and dark skin tones, explore atmospheric landscapes, and recreate museum master copies. Students will engage with basic classical traditions in a supportive studio environment designed for curiosity, creativity, and artistic growth.
