Want to showcase your work at the Hygienic?All photographers are cordially invited to submit up to three works in color or black & white for consideration in this year’s juried photography exhibition at the Hygienic Art Gallery. Cash prizes will be awarded!
Juror; Richard (Whitey) Morange is a painter, printmaker, and film photographer who lives in Gales Ferry. He taught art history, studio art, and photography for 37 years, retiring in 2012 from Belmont Hill School, having been department chairman there for over 20 years. He has served as president of both the Art Association of New England Prep Schools and the Photographic Historical Society of New England and was three times a judge in the Scholastic Art Awards program in Massachusetts.
All artists participating can submit their work in person at the Hygienic Art Gallery on September 28 & 29 from Noon to 7 PM. No size or subject restriction. Needs to be framed and gallery ready. Notifications will go out Tuesday October 4th. Picked up for unselected works will be Wednesday October 5th and Thursday October 6th from 12-7pm
Entry Fee: $15 one piece, $25 two pieces, $30 three pieces.
Opening Reception will be Friday, October 7th from 7pm – 10pm
