F.R.I.D.A. Fest seeks to empower our community to celebrate the art and rich history of women while celebrating the vibrance of the Latinx community and the inspiring women that have contributed to our community. Such as Frida Kahlo, Selena Quintanilla, Gloria Anzaldúa, Chavela Vargas, and countless others. We celebrate all the fabulous, independent, determined and self assured women of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Que Retro Arts and Curious Twins Paranormal will host Frida Festival 2023. A two day celebration.
Saturday July 8th & Sunday July 9th 2023 from 12pm to 6pm.
F.R.I.D.A FEST is a free- family-friendly, indoor event that will take place at Rolling Oaks Mall 6909 North Loop 1604, San Antonio, Texas 78247.

Attendees can expect to experience a one of a kind community gathering, community Frida Gallery. Everyone is welcome to apply to the gallery. For gallery submissions please email: [email protected]. Include a brief artist bio, and a brief explanation about the work you are submitting as well as photos of the work.
You can also expect a handmade artisan mercado with 75 vendors. A fashion show both days, music, performances, & culinary traditions, with talent from all around San Antonio. This year we will also include a VIP event with a complimentary open bar, light brunch foods, mariachis, plus door prizes, and first chance to purchase art. Tickets will go on sale in March and will include a limited edition F. R. I.D.A. Fest Shirt and shot glass. VIP Ticket $55 per person.
*Join in our community altar where the community can recognize the legacy of strong women in our lives. Please bring photos of the departed to recognize on our altar. Feel free to bring flowers, and offerings. The community altar will be up for both days of the festival.
*Learn about the life of Frida Kahlo and other Latinx leaders with facts throughout the building.
*Frida and Diego look alike contest for adults and children. (Open to all)
*Traditional Mexican artisan lecture each day.
