F-01-Introduction to Nature Journaling

Wednesdays, 10:00 am–3:00 pm (with ½ hour lunch break), Oct 6 and 13

Nature journaling is a discovery process. It is a way to record your observations. Nature journaling also provides a different way of seeing and experiencing nature and is a delightful way to capture the wonders of nature with simple sketches and descriptive words. This 2-day workshop for adults will be outside at the Sanchez Art Center where you will be provided with information and guided through observational experiences as you add entries into your personal nature journal.

In this 2-day workshop you’ll discover:

• The basics of nature journaling, including your interests and goals

• Getting acquainted with your nature journal and easy-to-use supplies

• Guided exercises and examples

• Opportunities to share your observations and journal entries

Note: State of California and San Mateo County Covid-19 protocols will be followed.

Cost of $105 includes 2 workshop days and your nature journal kit.

After the workshop participants have the opportunity to join an ongoing nature journaling group meeting in local parks/natural areas.
