EYFSP Moderation Cluster

Join colleagues from other schools to engage in the peer-to-peer professional conversations for moderation of the EYFSP with the support of Bristol Profile Moderators. Under the statutory duties outlined in the EYFSP handbook, moderation of EYFS profile assessments should be a collaborative process with colleagues to support the quality assurance of teacher assessment judgements and provide a valuable opportunity for professional development.

The 2022 EYFSP states that teachers are not required to provide evidence of their judgements but should instead engage with colleagues in professional discussions based on the teacher's knowledge of what children know, understand and can do. Please have 2 children in mind, one you judge at the expected level to meet the ELG, and one not yet meeting the expected levels, to engage in professional agreement trialling conversations with colleagues.
