EYFS Profile Moderation

The DfE encourages teachers to work together to develop a shared understanding of the ELGs and assessment of the EYFSP. “Moderation of EYFS Profile assessments should be a collaborative process with colleagues. This supports the quality assurance of assessment judgements and provides a valuable opportunity for professional development.” (DfE 2024)

All reception and Year 1 teachers are invited attend a EYFSP moderation session for per-to-peer moderation conversations with the support of Bristol EYFS Profile moderators. These will be based on teacher’s own knowledge of their children and there is no requirement to bring any physical evidence, though teachers may wish to bring some brief examples if they will find this useful.
