About this Event
Eyewitness ID on Trial: What the New Science Means for Lawyers, Courts, and Justice
A growing scientific consensus shows that the first, uncontaminated memory test—not the high-confidence courtroom ID months or years later—is the most reliable indicator of eyewitness accuracy. This program brings together psychologists, exonerees, & a former prosecutor to examine how memory contamination, confidence inflation, & outdated evidentiary rules contribute to wrongful convictions.
Refreshments will be provided.
Hosted by Loyola's Anti-Racism Center, California Innocence Advocates, and ChangeLawyers.
