Calling All Teachers! Join Us for Our Extra Yard for Teachers Game Day Celebration!We’re celebrating YOU! The University of South Alabama’s College of Education and Professional Studies, in partnership with South Alabama Athletics and the Sun Belt Conference, is proud to join colleges nationwide in honoring educators during Extra Yard for Teachers Game, Saturday, September 20, 2025—and we want you to be part of the celebration.
We're giving away thousands of dollars in classroom supplies, and all you have to do is show up.
Here's the Game Plan:
Free Tailgate Party – Hosted by the College of Education and Professional Studies, AMSTI (Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative) and SARIC (South Alabama Research and In-Service Center) on John Counts Drive across from Gate 1 before 2 hours before kickoff.
When: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: The College of Education and Professional Studies tailgate on John Counts Drive (across from Gate 1).
$15 Discounted Game Day Tickets – A special thank-you price for all educators for the Saturday, September 20, 2025 Jags vs. Coastal Carolina football game to be held at Hancock Whitney Stadium. Visit southalabama.edu/extrayardforteachers to access the code for ticket options for the game.

Amazon Wish List Fulfillment – The Sun Belt Conference is fulfilling teacher wish lists with over $6,000 in classroom supplies. As a thank you for all you do, teachers who attend the game can register at either the College of Education and Professional Studies Game Day tailgate or the Extra Yard for Teachers booth inside Gates 2 & 3. Educators will be selected and announced during the game:
20 teachers will win a $200 fulfillment.
5 teachers will win a $500 fulfillment.
1 lucky teacher will win a $1,000 fulfillment!
Just stop by the Extra Yard for Teachers booth inside Gates 2 & 3 to register. And that's not all!
We're also giving away 250 FREE backpacks to teachers at the fan engagement table, located under the video board near the jaguar head statue.
