Externship 201: The Art of Change
Join Richard Black for a five-day intensive designed to develop precision and confidence in facilitating genuine change within the counselling process.
Building on the foundations established in Externship 101, this training moves beyond structure into the craft of guiding transformation. Using his emotionally engaged cognitive approach, New Perspective Therapy, Richard equips therapists to help clients experience meaningful perspective change, where both mind and heart shift.
You will learn to clarify the destination of therapy with greater precision, actively utilise the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for change, and guide clients through the process of “chauffeuring” towards new, more constructive and healing felt truths.
Particular attention is given to maintaining emotional engagement so that change is not merely understood, but experienced.
Grounded in Scripture and a robust theological framework, this intensive integrates clinical depth with spiritual coherence.
