Exquisite Corpse Poetry Workshop
About this Event
Exquisite corpse is a collaborative method for assembling words or images invented by Surrealists. In this writing workshop, Elizabeth Arzani will guide participants to play games with words using prompts, literary references, and variations on chance and choice exercises. Hosted at Building 5 in conjunction with the exhibition, I am Plodding Through Mud, this workshop is an extension of The Writing Room, a featured installation in the show that invites participants to write together and discover how words can connect in unexpected ways.
No prior writing experience is necessary and all participants are welcome. This workshop is a free event with limited first come first serve spots available. All materials are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring something to write with.
