About this Event
Join us October 28th, up on the roof for the 6th installment of the ever genre-bending event that is Exquisite Corp! Headlining the show will be New York band, PETS. In a mall of blue echoes, PETS call up liquid alloy presets to play their fluid blend of crooning avant shower ballads and somber ambient vignettes for the material world. PETS is fronted by Jonny Campolo, Nick Campolo, and Chase Ceglie. Joining the bill will be the savant and singular voice of renowned twosome Fiery Furnaces, Eleanor Friedberger. Touching down in Brooklyn for the first time in thirty-five months to sing solo from her sizable sonic supply of sincere and often saluted, American psalms-- plus new tunes! Opening the night for us will be Gryphon Rue, a transdisciplinary composer, author, and curator with roots in Woodstock and Greenwich Village. Longtime Grimm friend DJ ALFM spins through the night. Soap Library, a holistic tape label based in NY, hosts the merch table with a selection of cassette tapes and objects for sale. Welcome all friends new and old, see you there!
$10 pre-sale / $13 at the door

Gryphon Rue | (b. New York) is an artist, composer, and musician. “Rue's music evokes in sound the bold and playful paper creations of, say, Kurt Schwitters a century ago, a kind of Merz converted into hertz” (The Quietus). “Rue’s music feels like going on a trip you may have taken before, albeit not in a long, long time. His sense of dynamics and texture reveal a finely honed craftsmanship” (Pitchfork).
SOAP LIBRARY | Soap Library is a holistic tape label in New York City. Founded in 2015, the label pairs cassette tape releases with sensory objects to create holistic musical experiences.
