About this Event
The competition is particularly focused on educating students about the 30 Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), a foundational document adopted by the United Nations in 1948 that outlines the fundamental rights and freedoms entitled to ALL people. Students are invited to reflect on and represent these articles through their art, raising awareness about the importance of protecting human rights globally and locally.
By engaging in this competition, students not only develop their artistic skills but also deepen their understanding of human rights and social justice. The event provides an opportunity for participants to connect the principles of the UDHR with real-world issues, fostering critical thinking about how human rights apply to everyday life. This competition encourages participants to explore and communicate key themes such as justice, equality, freedom, dignity, and respect for all individuals.
The DUHR Student Art Competition aims to spark meaningful conversations within the community, inspire positive action, and empower the next generation of leaders to advocate for human rights, equality, and justice in both their local and global..
Come witness and support our young emerging leaders compete in DUHR Inaugural Student Art Competion as they present their work to the community.
