Serdecznie zapraszamy na seminarium specjalistyczne dedykowane zespołom K9 zajmującym się wykrywaniem materiałów wybuchowych i innych substancji niebezpiecznych. Tematyką seminarium będzie zarówno nauka o samych substancjach, jak i zachowaniu się po odnalezieniu podejrzanego obiektu. Wydarzenie będzie składało się z części teoretycznej oraz praktycznej (z psami).

Explosives and Behaviour When Encountering Suspicious Objects
Target Audience: K9 Explosives Detection Dog Handlers
Duration: 3 Days
Objective: To provide knowledge about explosives, detection techniques, and safe behaviour when dealing with suspicious objects.
Day 1: Fundamentals of Explosives
Morning: Introduction to Explosives
Definition and types of explosives
Chemical fundamentals (e.g., definition of explosives, main components)
Classification of explosives (e.g., ANFO, TNT, PETN)
Safety aspects
Afternoon: Detection of Explosives
Physical and chemical properties of explosives and the use in IED´s
Pyrotechnics and the use in IED´s
Scent and behaviour of explosives detection dogs (maybe together with you;-))
Practical exercises: using dogs to identify explosives
Day 2: Behavior When Encountering Suspicious Objects
Morning: Hazard Assessment and Initial Actions
Identification of suspicious objects (What can it be/ What to look for)
GSA Ground Sign Awareness/ Humanitarian Sign Awareness Theory
Assessing the danger level (by area/ people on the ground)
Initial actions upon discovering suspicious items (Do´s & Don'ts)
Emergency plans and communication with response teams
Afternoon: Safety Protocols in case of a find/
Ground Sign Awareness/ Humanitarian Sign Awareness Practical
Protocols for reporting and documentation
Collaboration with police and explosives experts
Legal foundations and responsibilities
Day 3: Practical Training and Case Studies
Morning: Simulation Training
Practical exercises with and without dogs in simulated scenarios
Various environments (e.g., urban, rural)
Teamwork and communication in the field
Afternoon: Case Studies and Evaluation
Analysis of real operations and experiences
Discussion of challenges and best practices
Reflection on training and feedback sessions
Final assessment and certification
