About this Event
Everyone dreams. Some of us may not remember our dreams upon waking, while others can recall vivid images. In addition to increasing dream recall, keeping a dream journal can enhance problem solving, self-awareness, and overall well-being. This workshop will cover (with integrated discussion) historical and contemporary psychological views about dreams, common dream symbolism, the benefits of keeping a dream journal, and how to get started. Participants will be invited to design their own dream journals.
All materials and handouts will be provided.
Objectives-By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1) Understand dreaming from different psychological perspectives
2) Identify common dream symbolism
3) Explain the benefits of keeping a dream journal
4) Connect with like-minded others who are curious about dreams
This class will be hosted by Emily Lasinsky, she is a psychology professor who is an advocate for the role of the arts in healing and personal growth. She creates her own art and offers psychoeducational workshops.
Take a mid-summer break and join us for a relaxing and informative evening!
