Did you take the Introduction to Enamel class and fall in love with torch-fired enameling? Or maybe you've dabbled in enamel at home, and want to learn more techniques? This Exploring Transparent Enamels workshop is the perfect place to hone your enameling skills!
Enamel is the art of fusing powder glass to metal to create colorful, durable designs. In this 3 hour class, we'll dive deep into using transparent enamels, rather than opaque enamels. We'll create patterns by texturing the metal underneath the glass.
Introduction to Enameling is not a required pre-requisite, but it will certainly help to have a basic understanding of torch-fired enameling. The class caps at 4 students, so there's plenty of time for one-on-one learning. All materials are provided, included assorted copper shapes, sterling silver ear wires, sterling silver chains, assorted transparent enamel colors, safety glasses & N95s.
This class is fun to take with your partner or some friends! Feel free to bring drinks and a snack.
