Join IgniteAbility and SSI Local Area Coordinators for a session of exploring self-employment and connecting to community.


<h4>Exploring a business idea?</h4><h4>Kickstart your journey today and turn your passion into a thriving business.
</h4>

Join us for a FREE workshop that will help you:

• Understand the difference between a hobby and a business, and the value of each
• Evaluate the overall potential of your idea
• Identify your personal strengths, skills and role in your business
• Learn about the importance of having a supportive business community, and how to find one.
This workshop is designed to be accessible and inclusive, catering to individuals with lived experience of disability, including individuals with intellectual disabilities, who:

  • Has a business idea
  • Has an existing small business and is looking for extra support
  • Does not have a business idea but is interested in learning about what it would take to start a small business


<h4>Connecting the Community: Exploring NDIS Eligibility, Local Area Coordinators, and Disability Support Services</h4>

This connection desk provides community members with an opportunity to learn about NDIS eligibility and access, discover who their Local Area Coordinator (LAC) is, and get answers to general enquiries about disability services and supports available in the community.


We will be providing a free Mandarin Interpreter on the day to support you if required.



This session will be held at Woodstock Community Centre, Church St, Burwood.
