Participants will learn about raptors that call Oregon home. The raptors discussed include hawks, eagles, vultures, osprey, falcons, and harriers. This workshop will highlight the best sites in the area to look for these raptors and offer participants tips for identifying these birds of prey. Participants will learn how to distinguish a Red-tailed Hawk vs. a Red-shouldered Hawk. Find out how fast falcons can fly and why vultures never get sick when they ingest dead carcasses. In this workshop, participants will learn how to ID raptors by sight and sound.
