Step into the vibrant world of art with my Oil Pastels class!
This dynamic workshop is your gateway to exploring the rich, expressive qualities of oil pastels. Perfect for artists of all levels, this class invites you to experiment with color, texture, and techniques unique to oil pastels.
We will learn about this rich and luscious medium through experimenting with a variety of introductory exercises and simple subjects to familiarize ourselves with pastels which in turn will help us develop and understanding of how to use color and value to create form.
Then we will create our very own finished oil pastel rendition of Georgia O'Keeffe's “Series 1, No. 8”. An experience you will be sure to enjoy as you use beautiful oil pastels to blend the rich and vibrant colors of this masterpiece of abstraction!
All materials included! I will introduce you to the medium and provide all of your materials. If you discover you love this medium and want to purchase your own materials, I will be happy to share links, recommendations and provide advice on what and where to buy what you will need.
