In this hands-on workshop, students will create a ceramic mug that mimics the look and feel of leather. Using handbuilding techniques and leatherworking tools, participants will learn to shape and texture clay. Students will also explore making sprig molds for metal closure details. The focus will be on treating the clay like leather, while emphasizing form, functionality, and craftsmanship.
