Exploring Kitchen Herbalism Series
Suggested Donation per session $25 - $75
Do you have a go-to family remedy when you are feeling under the weather or reach for the soup pot when a cold starts to show itself? Maybe you remember your grandmother covering your chest in an onion poultice or soaking in a bathtub full of oatmeal to soothe an itchy rash. While our ancestors would not have given this a second thought as they were simply using what they had, today many of us would refer to this as “kitchen herbalism.”
Regardless of your culinary knowledge or botany skills, kitchen herbalism is for anyone and everyone looking to care for themselves and their family utilizing common household herbs, spices and foods you probably already have on hand. Kitchen herbalism is accessible, approachable and affordable. In this series we will explore the tools of the trade as well as a wide variety of herbal medicines easily found in your home or local corner store. We will share simple remedies and recipes to keep yourself and your family healthy and nourished. Tailor your learning experience! Attend all three sessions for the full comprehensive series or drop in for the individual classes that speak to you! No prerequisites required.
