About this Event
How do we listen deeply to ourselves, each other, the land, and the more than human world? How do we return to a more indigenous way of listening to, and being on and with the land? How can we truly come into relationship with the land as kin rather than just resource? How might this inform how we co-create with the natural world?
These question are at the heart of these gatherings. Please come and join this circle and bring your being to enquire into these questions.
This gathering will be facilitated by embodied presence guide and bringer of song and circle medicine Fran André. Using a mixture of group circle enquiries, paired enquiries, group singing and meditation, Fran will facilitate a space for us to drop into our full embodiment with the invitation to listen from our whole ‘being-ness’. From this counter cultural disposition we will explore together what a deeper listening to the land would be, including how deeply we can listen without filter to ourselves and each other.
Fran will be joined in team with Kerry Lane and Liz Meadows for this gathering. The intention is for co-creation in this very needed stream of work, so in this first meeting there will be an opportunity to hear what gifts Kerry and Liz will be bringing to this exploration into listening and connecting deeper with the land at Bowden.
Kerry Lane is a Bowden Pillars Land Guardian and a Wild Thriving facilitator. She supports and weaves deepening connection with self, human community and the other than human world. She is also involved in designing the social and cultural aspects of the village.
Liz Meadows holds gifts in communicating with nature's consciousness through listening to the spirits of plants, animals and the elements and receiving and sharing their wisdom. She runs ceremonies and celebrations at Sacred Sites channeling the voices of our ancestors to inform our ways of living and healing.
