Come climb with us!Rock climbing provides youth opportunities to build strength, explore new spaces, and practice using all their senses.
This event will also let them learn from people who are also low vision, with added support from certified orientation and mobility and rock climbing instructors.
What to Expect
Explorers will tactilely explore equipment, tour the facility, learn climbing terminology, and practice climbing in teams with experienced climbers who are also low vision or blind.
This activity:

🟢 Increases spatial awareness and orientation and mobility development.
🟢 Fosters confidence building, self-esteem, trust in others.

Registered DSB Explorers ages 6 through 13 can attend with a parent/guardian.
Each participant must sign a liability waiver or have one on file to be in the gym. You may print a copy of the waiver, fill one out online, or sign a digital copy in the gym. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian to sign a
