Explore YU 2024 - Summer

Are you a high school student looking ahead to university? Discover and explore your academic interests and passions at York University.

York University’s Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (LA&PS) is excited to offer “Explore YU,” a youth program for high school students within the Greater Toronto Area at our Keele campus. The week-long event is designed for grade 10 and 11 international and domestic high school students looking to explore and engage in recreational and intercultural activities between July 8 - 12. Participants will get a unique opportunity to experience university life and build lasting friendships. Students will have an opportunity to earn community service hours towards their community srevice hours requirement as a part of the Explore YU program.

L earning Outcomes

By the end of the Explore YU Summer Camp program, high school students should be able to:

1) Recognize the value of a post-secondary education degree.

2) Describe the academic programs that are offered by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and how they contribute to personal and professional development.

3) Meet other high school students on the York University campus.

4) Navigate York University’s physical layout and environment.

5) Establish significant relationships with the York University campus community.
