About this Event
Are you an oyster lover? This event was made for you! You'll "travel" across Rhode Island via our various bodies of water. At each stop, you'll meet an oyster farmer who grows their oysters in that area. They'll share with you how they raise their oysters and you'll get to sample a few!
Along the way, you'll be guided on how to detect the subtle differences in taste. Your provided Oyster Passport includes basic oyster terms, common oyster myths busted, a tasting wheel and tasting pages to make notes while at each farm.
Registration is NOT required to participate but it does guarantee you'll get a passport! Limited passports are available. Come by anytime between 5pm and 8pm to join in!
This community event is hosted by Rhode Island Oyster Week, an initiative of the Ocean State Aquaculture Association.
