King will introduce himself and his work, after which he will refer to excerpts from his book, Lament from Epirus: An Odyssey into Europe’s Oldest Surviving Folk Music, a Wall Street Journal Best Book of 2018, which explores the powerfully cathartic nature of this ancient Greek folk music.
