Formed in Edinburgh in 1978, The Exploited quickly made their mark on the punk rock scene with their raw, energetic sound, evolving from street punk to crossover thrash. Their debut EP *Army Life* and album *Punks Not Dead*, released in 1981, remain iconic in the genre.
