Experts In Residence

M2D2’s new Experts-in-Residence (EIR) Program brings seasoned industry professionals directly to our Lowell space to meet with startups. These drop-in sessions give founders practical guidance on everything from regulatory strategy and IP to fundraising, accounting, prototyping, and go-to-market planning. Sessions are held in-person on the third floor at 110 Canal.

Roy is a seasoned Business and Marketing Executive in the medical device, diagnostics, and therapeutics sectors, with a proven track record of leading healthcare innovations from concept through commercialization. A C-level business line manager and commercialization leader, Roy has successfully launched and scaled healthcare technologies across global markets, driving sustainable and profitable growth.

With deep expertise in general management, company formation and capital raising, P&L oversight, business development, product development, and new product marketing, Roy brings a strategic and customer-focused approach to advancing complex medical devices, systems, and services in both B2B and B2C environments. Their leadership spans global management of cross-functional teams, organizational development, and the execution of go-to-market strategies that translate innovation into clinical and commercial success.

A passionate advocate for meeting unmet customer and clinical needs, Roy has played a key role in bringing new products from early-stage development to clinical practice. In addition to executive leadership, they have contributed extensively to the scientific and medical literature, with 13 peer-reviewed publications, 29 abstracts and short papers, six book contributions, and numerous reviews.
