Expert Biography
Xavier Buendia is an award-winning and internationally published photographer and creative director based in Brighton. Originally from Mexico City, he has spent over a decade creating bold, story-driven imagery and stories across food, portrait, architecture, and documentary photography.
Renowned in the food and hospitality world, he has worked with acclaimed chefs including Monica Galetti, Tom Aikens, and Douglas McMaster, as well as brands like Ridgeview Wine Estate, Brighton Gin, and Thames & Hudson. During the pandemic, Xavi expanded beyond hospitality, earning an MA in Documentary Photography and now explores human potential through portraiture, architecture, and personal branding creative work.
Xavi also mentors creatives, runs photography and creative workshops, and volunteers with the charity, The Launchpad Collective.

All our expert one-to-one meetings on offer are free, but places are limited as our business expert partners are giving their valuable time to the BIPC and to you for free while fitting these sessions into their busy schedule. What is your cancellation policy?

The majority of our events are free, but places are often limited - especially for in-person events, therefore please make sure you cancel your place, if you are unable to attend. You can cancel through your Eventbrite booking or emailing [email protected].

Can I attend if I'm not a member of the library?

Absolutely! Any Sussex based business/ person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it's free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
