Collagraph is an experimental, painterly printing technique that uses in-expensive materials to allow a very direct, hands-on approach to print-making. The term 'Collagraph' combines the Greek word 'Colla' (glue) and graph (drawing) referencing this process's use of collage-like methods.
During this one day course participants will create unique collagraph plates using a variety of techniques and materials, which will then be inked and printed on our century old etching press to reveal rich textural prints. You will finish the workshop with both your collagraph plate and a small edition of collagraph prints.
