About this Event

Are you interested in ancient civilisations with a desire to connect with the past? Then join us for this mixture of crafting and lightning talks and engage in hands-on craft experiences that bring history to life. We’ll be making replica beads of archaeological samples using the tools and resources that would have been available to stone age cultures, such as flint, seashells, soapstone and wood. You can also learn to make your own cordage, pinch pot or weave a basket; essential skills for our prehistoric ancestors. You can also view and handle archaeological artefacts from the Queen’s archaeological collections.
