As part of Leeds Digital Festival, we're bringing together two different perspectives on solving this. Jamie Lord will share how CDS has approached these objectives building on Cloudflare's Developer Platform, and we'll also hear a genuine AWS perspective on solving the same problems.
This isn't a pitch for either platform. It's an open, practical discussion between tech leaders about where each approach has genuinely added value, and where the trade-offs are.
Jamie Lord is a global authority on the Cloudflare Developer Platform and author of Architecting on Cloudflare, a resource praised by Cloudflare's top brass and customers alike.
He'll explore why building on Cloudflare's edge has worked well for CDS: fewer vendors stitched together, infrastructure and security handled at the same layer, and deployment measured in minutes rather than change-request cycles. We'll also bring the AWS perspective, drawing on real experience of building and scaling on that platform.

We’ll also look into our agentic present and fast approaching future, sharing how customers are using the platform to safely accelerate progress.
