Join Kathy Shalda at our Wilmington Studio to experience the magic of the B990! During her class, we'll dive into this top-of-the-line machine's three main functions—Sewing, Embroidery, and Quilting—by creating 3 different panels using the latest features. Then, we'll bring them together to make a technique sample table runner! Kathy Shalda has been a BERNINA owner and lover for over 40 years. Her first BERNINA was the original 830. Her Grandmother taught her to sew at an early age and she has enjoyed the creativity sewing inspires ever since. Kathy retired from dental hygiene and began a new career with a local quilt shop. She spent 13 years working at that shop teaching, selling on the floor and creating patterns.
The BERNINA store that serviced her machines was looking for some help, so Kathy went to work for them and eventually became the assistant store manager! Kathy moved to Texas in 2013. Later that year she was invited to join a new team that BERNINA was putting together. She has enjoyed being a part of the BERNINA Event Team ever since & we feel so lucky to have her!
