Experience In The Highlands by LATK x JustTrek in partnership w/ HIGHLANDER

* *This is NOT a beginner's hike and is a challenging all day adventure that involves long mileage, significant elevation gain, and steep inclines. Please exercise self awareness of your capabilities before considering joining.**

Join LA Trail Killers and Just Trek on Sun, April 28th for an 'Experience In The Highlands" peak bagging adventure + post trek fest with yoga, bevvies, and light bites. This event is in partnership with HIGHLANDER USA as their upcoming Big Bear Lake event is coming up on June 19-23rd. Special promo code will be given to attendees only on-site. WHEN: Sunday, April 28th 2024

WHERE: San Gabriel Mountains / Angeles National Forest (Exact location + further details will be shared with registered guests). The trailhead is 45 min away from Downtown Los Angeles.

MEET TIME: 7:00AM

START HIKE: 7:30AM

PARKING: Will be shared in a follow up email prior to the event date. Please purchase $5 adventure pass for parking (Big 5 or local convenient store should have). There will be a free parking lot but space can be a bit limited. Carpooling is highly encouraged if possible!

DISTANCE: 7.2 miles total

TIME: approx 4-5 hours total (hike portion only)

DIFFICULTY: Hard

ELEVATION GAIN: 1,700 feet (amount of feet you climb)

ROUTE TYPE: Out and back

THINGS TO BRING: 2.5/3L min water, Lunch + Snacks, proper hiking shoes/trail runners, hiking poles (help alot on the way down), hat + sunscreen. An email a few days prior will be sent to registered attendees with more details on "Things to bring" + more updates. There is NO SHADE on the trail.
