About this Event

For our closing keynote entitled "Expanding the Experts” on January 31st, we are inviting all three authors of M**der Town, USA (Dr. Yasser Payne, Dr. Brooklynn Hitchens and Darryl Chambers) to participate in a keynote panel that explores not just how they reckoned with the realities of gun violence but also created collaborations across academia and impacted communities through "street participatory action research." Our hope with this panel is that we don't just talk about bridging divides—we actively model how to do so.
