About this Event

Join Logan Rowe, Conservation Associate with Michigan Natural Features Inventory and Michigan State University Extension to learn more about how Bumble Bees are charismatic pollinators and why they are the most important of all the wild pollinators. Historically, in Michigan there were around 20 unique species of bumble bees, but currently that number is closer to 15 species, prompting the creation of various conservation initiatives to protect the declining bumble bee species.

Learn more about Michigan Natural Features Inventory’s community/citizen science program as well as other programs that support bumble bee species conservation and habitat protection.

There will be both an inside and field portion in this workshop. Don’t forget to bring your smartphone for a hands-on activity outside!
