Join colleagues nationwide for networking and inspiration at the UK’s principal event for the cultural exhibitions sector.

We’re delighted to announce that our annual in-person event will be held on Tuesday 29 April at the Victoria and Albert Museum London.

A limited number of Earlybird tickets for members of The Exhibitions Group are now on sale until 31 December. After this date, tickets will be available at 2025 prices, for both members and non-members.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Exhibitions Connect is a unique opportunity to:

  • hear keynote presentations from sector leaders
  • be inspired by informative talks and discussions about fantastic exhibitions and collaborative projects from leading sector colleagues and speakers
  • meet and network with other professionals and organisations
  • share and promote your exhibition projects, services and products to people working in our sector, all in one place!

Exhibitions Connect also includes the opportunity to book a slot in our popular Share Session - available on a first come first served basis, once you’ve booked your delegate place, by emailing [email protected]



THE PROGRAMME

Morning sessions:

Session 1: Funding Futures: a dynamic conversation between three sector leaders exploring how funding bodies and cultural institutions collaborate to develop exhibitions that drive cultural impact

Session Host: Miranda Stacey, Co-Chair of The Exhibitions Group

Panellists:

  • Sara Wajid, Co-CEO of Birmingham Museums Trust
  • Two more panellists will be announced shortly


Session 2: The Road to Change: Reducing the Environmental Impact of Touring Exhibitions

Confirmed panel:

  • Reyahn King, Executive Director, The Exhibitions Group
  • Elise Foster Vander Elst, Head of Exhibitions & Environmental Impact Lead, The Design Museum, London
  • Danny Chivers, Sustainability Advisor to the Gallery Climate Coalition


There will be time for networking and to visit stands throughout the day.


Afternoon sessions:

Session 1: Our afternoon session will see the return of our popular Share Session. Ten slots are available for exhibition organisers/ providers to present exhibition projects, or proposals in development, in a series of 2-minute presentations. To book a share session in advance, please email [email protected]


Session 2: Case studies on centring community voices through exhibition collaborations

  • Ashleigh Hibbins, Head of Audience and Learning, Perth Museum, Scotland will speak about , the debut exhibition at Perth Museum. The exhibition explores the story of the unicorn's enduring presence throughout history and its role as a symbol of Scotland’s changing heritage and identity, and as a modern symbol of the LGBTQI+ community.
  • Second case study to be announced shortly.

Delegate only tickets are for one person. If your organisation would like to send more than one delegate, please book the appropriate number of tickets.

REFUND POLICY:

Until 31 March 2025 we can transfer your booking to a colleague or offer a refund (minus the Eventbrite booking fee of 7% + 60p per ticket).

From 1 April until 13 April 2025 we can transfer your booking to a colleague or offer a 50% refund (minus the Eventbrite booking fee of 7% + 60p per ticket).

From 14 April 2025 onwards we are not able to offer any refunds. We can transfer your booking to a colleague up until Monday 28 April 2025.
